MISSION

Most funny ads aren’t very… funny. Our industry worships comedy but refuses to teach creatives how to consistently produce funny work. We founded Laugh Your Ads Off to fix that. It’s a workshop series that treats humor as a trainable skill instead of some mystical gift. Real comedians. Real ad pros. Real talk about how funny work gets made and sold to clients who think jokes are a threat to their job stability.

APPROACH

Half stand-up show, half masterclass. We begin each session with a show from professional comics – both to get the room loose and give our attendees an instinctive feel for comedy structure. Then we break down the mechanics with a talk by an industry leader (funny advertiser). Finally, we open it up for a panel discussion among the living greats.

We cover joke structures like subtext, exaggeration, escalation, and visual misdirection. The mechanical side everyone pretends is instinct. Maybe you're born with it. Maybe you attended our workshop.


'SELLING' COMEDY


We invite the most respected comedic advertisers to give our attendees practical tips on how to sell comedy to nervous clients. Think of the Nutter Butter social feed. We had Ryan Benson (the mind behind it) explain how he tested small and then pushed his style further into absurdity.

COMMUNITY

What started as an event series turned into a movement. We built a network of creatives and account people who still believe advertising should be funny. Not ad funny. Funny funny.
